I need to restore the Sample Fund backup file created when I ran a rollover to see how everything worked. How do I go about it? I would have thought that there would be a menu option to restore, similar to the one you have for backup.

Hi,

To restore the Sample Fund to what it was when the software was first installed, go to File > Refresh Sample Fund

To restore from a backup created, please do the following:
- Go to the backup folder of the fund (c:\Sample Fund-backup). In this folder you will find copies of the file with names that have something like "D28-3-2007 T13-42" on the end of the name (this is the date and time that the backup was created).
- Copy the file you would like to restore into the data folder of the fund, which is C:\Sample Fund.
- Delete the original Sample Fund file that is in that folder (without the date and time on the end).
- Rename the date and time stamped file to remove the "D28-3-2007 T13-42" from the end of it. This will enable the program to recognise it as the original file.

We will look at what is involved with adding a restore feature to simplify and automate the process above.

Regards,

MySF
