| Hi, I've used the Import Data | Import Asset History option to import 248 Financial Assets (I have a lot of Dividend re-investments). The data load does not allow me to specify an Exchange (so far as I can tell) and the Revaluation processes won't revalue without one. Must I use the Financial Asset Editor to edit each Asset individually, or is there some way to bulk modify the Exchange? Everything I have is *.ax. I know that I could have used the Simple Setup, which would allow me to specify Exchange but doesn't appear to allow me to specify Asset Name. I thought I selected the lesser evil, but it looks like I can't import 200+ assets and have Exchange AND Asset Name without individual editing of each asset. Did I miss a wrinkle? Would you consider simplifying this for the future? Regards, Tony GIlbert

Hello,
We will need to investigate this issue further and find out why the assets are not being associated to an exchange.
Could you please send us a sample of the CSV file you have imported so we can use it to test? You can send the file to info@mysf.com.au and the file doesn't need to include all the lines you've imported, just a few.
Regards,
MySF

| Hi, Well, I'm happy to send the file, (doing so) but I mustn't have explained myself clearly because I know why the Exchange is not being associated. I can only choose from the following when entering "please allocate which column" in the Column Information tab: - Event Type
- Asset Code
- Assett Name
- Event Date
- Quantity
- Total Amount (inc tax)
- Pert Unit Amount
- GST
- Brokerage
- Other (ignore column)
I'm sure that it's because I'm choosing the last one that I'm not getting the "Exchange" data loaded. Which column should I be choosing in order to get Exchange loaded? (tongue firmly in cheek). Or, more practically, how to bulk load both Exchange AND Long Name for assets? Cheers, Tony

Hello,
We will provide a bulk asset exchange utility in the next software update.
The utility will allow you to change an exchange for an entire asset class or specific assets within an asset class.
Thank you for your suggestion on this new utility. Please feel free to continue to provide ideas as we're more than happy to consider each and every one of them.
Regards,
MySF
