| I am using the latest version of the software: 10.1.2 The application seems to develop and error whenever I try to add new share purchases of already held shares, saying that account 1151 has a non-zero balance and needs to be reversed before I can add shares. Given that this is the account holding all my shares, this is not sensible, nor realistic! The application generates the error and needs to close whenever I try to add new units using the add new at the bottom of the window. Please advise how I go about adding new purchases to already held shares. As I have not sought to add entirely new shares, I cannot say whether this function works; or has the same problem.

Hello,
For others reading this post. This problem occurs when you manually process journal transactions against the Summary account of the particular asset class (in this case, 1151 - Shares).
Processing journals to summary accounts is not possible in MySF Manager but in this case, before any Shares had been added, the 1151 account was set to a detail account because it had no child (detail) accounts of its own.
Once Shares were added the correct way (via the Assets > Shares menu option), the 1151 account automatically becomes a Summary account but keeps the original transactions posted against it. This is a problem as Summary accounts should not contain transactions but can have a total balance of their detail accounts.
The only fix for this issue is to send us a copy of your fund file via info@mysf.com.au and we'll do our best to rectify it for you but unfortunately in most cases, the only option is to start the fund again.
Regards,
MySF
