Hello

I have just purchased a new computer and wish to transfer MySF across.

The original computer is running on Windows XP (an original XP upgraded with the current patches) and was updated to a 32-Bit version of the Windows operating system, which I obtained from MySF, in May 2012, so that I could download MySF version 10.2.2 (which was successful). MySF version 10.2.3, July 2012, has not been installed yet.

The new destination computer is running on Windows 7 with a 64-Bit version.

I have read the directions in post #4000.

Do I install the latest version of MySF on the distination computer in 64-Bits or 32-Bits? If so can you email me the latest version.

Do I upgrade the existing/old computer to the latest version of MySF prior to doing the transfer?

Are there any other tricks of the trade that I should be aware of to ensure a seemless transfer?

Regards

GC

Hi,

Since the destination computer is 64bit you will want to install the 64bit version of MySF, the link will be emailed to you.

The fund doesn't need to be up to date on the old computer, but the destination computer must have a matching version of MySF or higher. The fund will be updated if the new version is an updated version.

MySF will give a warning if it can't find the fund where it expects to be. If the fund on the old computer was located in c:/<superfund folder>, either place the fund in the same location on the new computer, or copy the folder to the same location.

Regards

MySF
